Find out more about our commitment to Net Zero below:
To transition to a Net-Zero world is probably the greatest challenge human mankind has had to face. Antonio’s is proud to say we do our bit in helping our world. We Adopt responsible sustainable and circular consumption.
We Recycle more than we have ever done all our disposables are now made with full recyclable and bio-degradable materials. We opt to use all local sustainable produce. In Our monthly team meetings we also discuss with the team ways in which we can all play our part topics being:
How we live A+.
How we reduce waste.
How we travel.
How we consume.
How we work.
How we use energy.
We believe our biggest contribution to helping the world reach its Net-Zero targets comes by the way of our kitchen extraction system it boasts four stages of kitchen extract filtration using Grease, HEPA, OC2, and Activated Carbon filters to clean up the air before being discharged. The unique design ensures that all air is treated for grease, smoke and odour prior to discharge ensuring that there is no air leakage past the filters within the unit. Air Filter Sealing faces and clips ensure that all air passes through the carbon and helps filters capturing 90% of odours, and up to 98% of smoke generated from modern commercial kitchens.
We then took it one step further by installing a OC2 control unit the process of this Oxidation using ozone and activated oxygenions is used to treat odour emissions from commercial and industrial kitchen processes (DEFRA, 2005: Guidance on the Control of Odour and Noise from Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Systems).
The OC2 has been specifically designed for use in commercial kitchens. The system injects ozone into the kitchen extraction canopy or associated duct work where it reacts with odours, which are oxidized in a chemical reaction, which results in the production of carbon dioxide and water vapour. The ozone itself is consumed during the process and is converted back into oxygen.
The benefits of an OC2 unit:
– Low capital and running costs
– up to 50% less than traditional UVC systems.
– Injection into ductwork – adding negligible back pressure to the system so requiring less energy to push air through the air
handling system. This means less ductwork modifications.
– The OC2 maintains efficiency as they remain outside of the air stream, they also require less maintenance and require less cleaning.
– Tested to EN13725:2003, CE Approved
We do hope you guys are happy with the steps Antonio’s takes to do it’s bit in helping our planet and only hope others follow in our footsteps in saving this place we all call home.
